Jamie: A Transgender Cinderella Story.

Olly this year in 2020 was named one of the 100 people on the Pride Power List. A guide to those in the LGBTQI community and or allies who are dedicated to working towards true LGBTQI equality and inclusion.

Which brings us to today’s Dad. 

John as the father of two teenagers, has many years of story reading under his belt. A writer and podcaster, over the years he has also been a wedding DJ, stage manager, writing teacher, CBC Radio music columnist, test rider for a motorcycle TV show and the editor-in-chief of an alternative newspaper. He is currently the communications officer for University of Victorias Faculty of Fine Arts and puts his 20 years as a theatre critic to use as co-host of the local arts podcast, Check The Program. As the father of a transgender 17-year-old, John specifically chose this story to remind us all that the need to embrace change is synonymous with parenting.
