Husband and father of three grown children, John is an Author based on Vancouver Island BC, Canada.
Originally  born in Edinburgh, Scotland, John grew up on the Isle of Skye, and in Paisley, outside Glasgow. He studied St. Andrews University and did an Honours Degree in Geology. This allowed him to travel the world from Zimbabwe to Alberta!
But it was after after backpacking round the world for a year and a mid-life crisis, the led John to take up freelance writing in 1989 and move to Vancouver Island in 1991, and become a full time author. John has written over 35 books ranging from stories about dinosaurs and kids caught up in the chaos of war, to contemporary characters discovering forgotten family journals and trying to solve mysteries and recover stolen artifacts.
