Simon Cockle is a poet from Aston, Hertfordshire.  His first collection, River Lane (Arenig Press) was published in 2018. His poems have appeared in Envoi, iOTA, Dreamcatcher, The Lampeter Review and Prole Poetry. In 2020, he was selected for the Ver Open Prize. He was invited to read at the Ledbury Poetry Festival in 2016. 2017 and 2019.  He appears as a co-host on the poetry podcast 'Breaking Lines' (iTunes) @breakinglinespoetrypodcast and the comedy podcast 'The Sacred Cow' (iTunes/Acast) @thesacredcowpodcast.  He is a father to Anouska, 9, who fell asleep while listening to him reading this story.
